Maruti Omni Limited Edition launched, more features added
Maruti Suzuki has wide range of products in its portfolio, at one hand where it has stylish Maruti Swift Dzire, Maruti SX4 and more; while at the same time it has a humble Maruti Omni van. This one was a fairly successful vehicle for big families since the time it was launched in the Indian car market. Omni is used as hospital vans and for commercial taxi purposes as well. Now, the car maker has rolled out a limited edition of Maruti Omni that has new features to make it special. Being a special edition with more features, the price of this one is a slightly more than the standard model of Omni. You can take home the Maruti Omni at Rs. 2.51 lakh (petrol) and Rs. 2.17 lakh (LPG).
So talking about the specialty in this limited edition Maruti Omni, the car now comes with a CD player that has Aux-in support along with a four speaker set. Also left hand side wing mirror is present together with rubber floor mats and seat covers. Apart from these changes, the car hasn’t changed the technical specifications. The van still comes with the 796cc of F8D three-cylinder engine that churns out 37BHP of power and 62Nm of maximum torque. The four speed manual gearbox is coupled with this engine that ensures a decent mileage delivery.
Of late, Maruti also registered another honor in its name when Maruti Alto gained the top spot on the list of top-selling cars in 2012 in India. Maruti Swift hatchback and Maruti Swift Dzire grabbed the second and third spot respectively. So it was a successful year for Maruti Suzuki and with the launch of Limited Edition Maruti Omni, the company has high hopes for this year as well.
