Maruti Ritz upgrade launch round the corner

The new version of Maruti Ritz is going to be facelifted and will look more appealing. The car is going to be launched in India this festival season though its exporting it already in some of the European countries. Older people find it more comfortable due to its build up. It is known from sources that the hatchback will arrive in India with an automatic gearbox, though the latest version is featured with a five speed manual gearbox.

Present Maruti Ritz has two types of engine, in terms of fuel they use. One running on petrol with 1.2 liters K-series engine having a power of 80 Bhp and the other being turbo diesel with 1.3 Liter Fiat Multijet resulting power of 75 Bhp and torque of 190 Nm. Both the versions are fabulous but diesel being cheaper than petrol has given more contribution in sales. The new face lifted Ritz is expected in the petrol variant and the fact that the automatic gearbox will increase the price of the diesel variant to the C – segment level is also expected.

Its VXi variant will be having 4 speed automatic gearbox accompanied with ABS feature in it as standard and the ZDi diesel variant will also include airbags even as a safety feature. The petrol variants will be LXi, VXi, VXi automatic and ZXi trim while the diesel variants will include LDi, VDi and ZDi only. With the introduction of Ritz Automatic, the choice of car buyers will become wider and also the Ritz will be included in the B+ Segment hatchback space with Hyundai i20.
