Maruti Suzuki Baleno garners more than 40K + Bookings
Launched with an objective to re-establish the Baleno name again in Indian Car Market, MSIL launched its hatchback version in India on October 26, 2015, which is being sold through company’s Nexa outlets. It would be interested to know that within the short span after its launch the hatchback emerged as six highly liked car in Indian car market during the month of November. An interesting factor associated with Baleno hatchback which reveals its popularity among Indian car enthusiasts is that within two weeks of its launch it recorded more than 21,000 bookings and according to recent reports this number gone beyond 40,000.
The worth mentioning feature about Baleno is that it is the first car by Japanese car maker which has been made in India and not at its native place. Empowered with 1.2 litre K series petrol engine and 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine, with engines offered with five speed manual gear transmission system followed by CVT automatic transmission system in petrol trim, company is now speculating to export Baleno in 100 countries across the world.
With starting price of Rs. 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom price) the diesel variant of Baleno deliver fuel efficient performance of 27,39 kmpl while petrol delivers an average of 21.4 kmpl.
