Maruti Suzuki Baleno upgraded with 1.4 litre petrol engine

Couples of months back in the month of  October 2015 country’s premium car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited reintroduced its Baleno brand in form of hatchback in Indian car market and succeeded in receiving appreciation from all segments of industry, even from critics. The hatchback was launched in both petrol and diesel trims which were empowered with 1.2 litre K12 petrol and 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine respectively. These engine configurations are same as offered in Swift hatchback. According to industry reports encouraged from the positive response from buyers company is going to introduce one more engine option of 1.0 litre Booster Jet turbocharged engine during the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2016.

Recently one more interesting news has come out from company sources according to which the car maker is going to introduce one more engine option of 1.4 litre in Baleno family. Well company has not disclosed when this engine configuration will be introduced in Indian car market because at present this trim has been offered in Baleno that is on sale in car market of South Africa. According to sources this new engine will be same as offered in Ciaz and Ertiga. This petrol engine in South African car market will be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system and also with 4 speed automatic transmission system. As far as diesel trim is concerned it will be equipped with 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine which is same as offered in Baleno version in Indian car market.
