Maruti Suzuki Celerio diesel spotted, expected to launch in January 2015
Launch of Celerio hatchback by country’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki was one of the biggest launches of this year in Indian car market, which succeeded in grabbing the attention of all segments of car industry. The major attraction of Celerio was introduction of Automatic Manual Transmission system which facilitates the user to choose driving option according to his requirement. Going through the over whelming response received by Celerio company came up with launch of CNG variant soon after the launch of petrol Celerio in Indian car market. After which it was rumored that car maker would also come up with diesel version of Celerio and now it is reported that spies have witnessed the diesel variant of Celerio being tested on Indian roads. It is speculated that the soon diesel variant would be launched in Indian car market most probably during the first month of next year.

The diesel variant would be empowered with 800 cc, twin cylinder diesel engine which would generate the power of 50 bhp and torque of 130Nm. The engine would be empowered with five speed manual gearbox. The worth mentioning feature of Maruti Suzuki Celerio Diesel version is fuel efficient performance which is endorsed to deliver an average of 30 kmpl. One more interesting feature about diesel Celerio is that it might be also offered with AMT transmission system. As far as looks of diesel version are concerned it is reported that it would carry the same looks as ongoing with the existing version of Celerio, only with DDis badge on the arches of front wheel. As far as price of diesel Celerio are concerned it is expected to offered Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 75,000 higher than the ongoing version of Celerio. After launch the diesel Celerio would compete with Hyundai Grand i10, Ford Figo and Chevrolet Beat.
