Maruti Suzuki Celerio diesel tentatively launching in April 2015
Maruti Suzuki Celerio the new hatchback that was launched last year by country’s leading car maker MSIL is successfully enjoying the great success in Indian car maker. The success of Celerio hatchback can be witnessed from the fact going through the over whelming response from the Indian car enthusiasts within the short span of two months of launch its CNG version was also introduced in Indian car market. Since, then buyers were waiting for its diesel variant to come. It is now rumored that the car maker is going to bring the diesel variant of hatchback in Indian car market sometimes during the second week of April this year.

According to reports spies have witnessed the diesel version of Celerio being tested on Indian roads. It is also reported that the diesel variant would be empowered with 800 cc diesel engine that will boost the power of 70 bhp and torque of 175 Nm. It will be offered with five speed manual transmission system. It is expected to be priced about Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 70,000 higher than the existing versions of petrol trim. After launch it will compete against Chevrolet Beat.
As far as looks of Maruti Suzuki Celerio Diesel are concerned it will continue with same existing looks as offered in petrol trim. However it will also bestow some additional features to make it different from the existing petrol and CNG Celerio. These features will include DDiS badge above the wheel arches followed by signature of different trims launched in diesel variant including LDi, VDi and ZDi. It is speculated it will be offered only with manual gear transmission system and not with automatic transmission system.
