Maruti Suzuki Ciaz to be Equipped with ISOFIX Mounts
With an objective to provide complete safety to children during travel country’s leading Indo-Japanese duo Maruti Suzuki India Limited as going to upgrade their best selling sedan Ciaz with ISOFIX Mounts system as standard safety feature for children in all its trims. The integration of new standard safety feature will offer integration of safe seats for children sitting on rear seats. Ciaz is the first car from MSIL, which bestows the ISOFIX feature as standard feature however according to reports, company is planning to equip all its cars with this feature. Apart from Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City is another premium sedan in Indian car market which is equipped with ISOFIX feature as standard in all its variants.
Talking about ISOFIX it was one of the most trusted safety feature that is offered for children in cars. It consists of metal bar connectors integrated on the seats anchoring the child seat along with leather belts offering complete security to children in case of any crash. Although there are seat belts developed f or children in car, but in case of any severe collision they are not able to protect children from serious injuries. Integration of ISOFIX mounts offers the facility of making your child attached to the seat, moreover as the mounts are strongly attached to rear seat, children enjoy comfort and safe journey.
Available in both petrol and diesel variants comprising of 1.4 litre and 1.3 litre engine equipped with Smart Hybrid Vehicle System (SHVS) respectively, the other safety features offered in Ciaz include driver airbag as standard feature, co-driver airbag, seat belt censors, Force limiters and ABS as optional feature.
