Maruti Suzuki Introduces CVT Transmission in Baleno Alpha
Leading car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited has enhanced the family of its best selling hatchback Baleno by introducing CVT transmission in Alpha variant with the price tag of Rs. 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). After Delta and Zeta, Alpha is the third variant of the Baleno that has been offered with CVT transmission system. The major features offered in Alpha CVT transmission system includes Smartphone Linkage Display Audio System that can be connected with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink. The CVT gearbox has been introduced only in the petrol variant of
Alpha trim.

The hatchback was launched almost two years back in October 2015 and since then it has sold out about 2,00,000 units in the Indian car market. The hatchback also dominates the hatchback segment by selling out more than 1,00,000 units within the span of an year. Along with this the first ever made in India hatchback by the Indo-Japanese car makers is also being imported to more than 100 countries namely New Zealand, Australia, countries of European continent and Latin America followed by Japan too.

Under the hood the Baleno Alpha CVT will be offered with existing engine configuration of 1.2 litre petrol engine boosting the power of 83 bhp and torque of 115 Nm. The diesel variant is energized with 1.3 litre DDiS engine that is capable of cranking the power of 74 bhp and torque of 190Nm. The regular trims in both the variants are offered with five speed manual gear transmission system as standard feature.
