Maruti Suzuki Ritz Automatic launched

The latest buzz in the industry is the Maruti Ritz Automatic launch. The Ritz site is under updation and we will be updating with more details as soon as the information is available. The Ritz Automatic is available in only petrol version and it is the highest model VXI that has got the automatic transmission option. The automatic transmission is a four speed type and it has been mated to the popular K Series 1.2 L engine that does its duty under the hood of the manual transmission car. The reason why Maruti has launched the automatic version is because of the recent rise in demand for automatic cars in the country. Also the Ritz AT will be competing with the Honda Brio AT that is becoming the talk of the town recently.

Another thing that will be attracting customers to its side is the mileage that it offers. As per some reports, the car returns a mileage of over 17.6 kmpl which is quite high on petrol and that too for an automatic transmission car which is supposed to return less mileage than the manual transmission cars. Meanwhile, the festive season has seen a great shift towards the preference for the diesel make of the Ritz. Since this is the entry level diesel car by Maruti, more and more people prefer it over Maruti Swift following its high level of seating and tall boy looks.

With the Ritz AT launch, it has become another automatic car by Maruti and now Maruti has six auto transmission cars in its stable. The Maruti A Star is an export oriented model and has little scope in India while the Maruti Swift Dzire Automatic is a model that people seldom know about and thus preference for it is flat. Maruti SX4 luxury car is on the other hand has too few takers and thus its popularity is also less. Other than these the Grand Vitara and Maruti Kizashi are the other two which are offered in AT option. Market analysts believe that the launch of the Ritz AT on the top petrol version will not pull volumes and the car could have been an instant success if Maruti had launched it on the diesel version.

That's good but in terms of power and performance my vote goes to Honda Brio Automatic. The difference is that Ritz automatic powers a 4 speed AT gearbox while the Brio AT is mated to a 5 speed AT system. Yet the Ritz AT price is also undisclosed.
