Maruti Suzuki to boost diesel variant of Baleno in 2016
Maurti Suzuki India Limited launched its highly awaited hatchback Baleno in Indian car market almost a month ago. The response of customers towards this premium hatchback can be witnessed from the fact of its waiting period which exceeds the period of three months. Going through the encouraging response from Indian buyers the Indo-Japanese car maker is speculating to boost the existing diesel engine configuration of 1.3 litre multijet diesel engine with new powerful engine which would similar to one found in sedan Ciaz. According to sources the reason of bringing more powerful engine in diesel variant is part of company’s strategy related with launch of Baleno, because car makers wanted to know buyers response before introducing any new feature in Baleno.

The proposed diesel engine will tune the power of 89 bhp and will continue the SHVS technology as offered in Suzuki Ciaz, but the interesting feature of SHVS feature that would be offered in Baleno is that it would not make any influential impact on its price. Albeit we cannot claim that it will be offered with same price tag as offered in existing Baleno, because being blessed with additional feature it might be priced little bit higher. The new diesel variant is speculated to make its debut sometimes during the month of March 2016 and will be offered only in the top end Alpha variant of Baleno.
