Maruti to soon bring CNG variant of Celerio
Launch of Maruti Suzuki Celerio is one of the massive hits in Indian car market for this year with waiting period of hatchback lasting from eight to ten months with still recording the booking of about 1000 units every month. The hatchback was launched during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 and succeeded in receiving the flood of buyers willing to buy it. The main attraction of customers towards to Celerio hatchback by country’s leading car manufacturer was presence of automatic gearbox at affordable price.

It is now reported that Indian arm of Japanese auto giant is going to bring the CNG variant of Celerio in Indian car market sometimes during the month of June this year. One thing which might disappoint the prospective buyers of Celerio could be absence of automatic gearbox, as according to company sources Celerio would be offered only with manual gearbox. The CNG variant will be energized with 1.0 litre petrol engine developing the power of 68 bhp and torque of 90Nm, and will be coated with five speed manual gearbox.
It is also rumored that car maker is also speculating to bring the diesel variant of its highly acclaimed initiative Celerio, however it is speculated that CNG variant will be undoubtedly launched before the emergence of diesel variant. Industry experts believe that introduction of CNG will also enjoy the same success as enjoyed by the petrol version of Celerio existing in Indian car market at present.
