Mercedes Benz A Class launched in India at Rs 21.93 lakh
Mercedes Benz India, country's one of the largest luxury carmakers has finally launched the much anticipated luxury hatchback, Mercedes Benz A Class in Indian domestic auto market between Rs 21.93 lakh to Rs 22.73 lakh (Ex-showroom Mumbai). The company has offered the new beast in both petrol and diesel models which offer one-one variant. Its petrol is called the Sport while the diesel variant is named the Style.
Mercedes Benz A Class Sport which is one such variant of petrol model is priced at Rs 22.73 lakh (Ex-showroom Mumbai). It comes loaded with a 1.6L, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motors that belts out max power of 121 BHP and top torque of 200 Nm. It is capable catch the speed of 100 kmph in just 9.76 seconds, while the top speed is 202 kmph. It returns 15 of mileage on long roads.
On the other hand, Mercedes Benz A Class Style diesel has been powered with a 1.5L diesel engine which produces max power of 109 BHP along with peak torque of 260 Nm. It offers mileage of around 20.07 kmpl on long drives. Both the models of the youth generation targeting luxury hatchback are mated to a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission along with paddle shifters.
The new A Class features 7 airbags, ABS and ESP, Bi-xenon headlamps, Acceleration skid control, attention assist Adaptive brake lights, brake assist, Hill start assist, electric parking brake, tyre pressure monitor and many more. To offer better fuel efficiency, it has been equipped with Mercedes’ ECO Start/Stop function.
