Mercedes Benz CLS facelift to be showcased at 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed
German car maker Mercedes Benz has announced that it will unveil the facelift of its CLS coupe during the Goodwood Festival of Speed scheduled to be held in the last week of June this year. The facelift of this coupe is the mid life facelift and has been seen going through test drives on several occasions in European countries. The cosmetic facelifts which have been offered in this four door coupe includes newly developed front grille, integration of Active Multibeam ILS LED system which adjusts the headlight according to existing conditions of traffic and road.

Moving towards the interiors the facelift CLS will receive a new steering wheel followed by free standing screen integrated at the central console, followed by company’s COMAND online system with NTG 5.0 version. As far as technical features are concerned nothing has been so far revealed by the car maker. In Indian car market Mercedes Benz is offered with 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine producing the power of 306 bhp and torque of 370 Nm and coated with 9G Tronic gearbox which forwards power to rear wheels.
It is speculated that company will launch the facelift Mercedes Benz CLS facelift in Indian car market within the few months of its launch in European countries. In India it will be brought through CBU route and will compete against Audi A7 and BMW 6 Series.
