Mercedes Benz launches GLA 45 AMG in India, priced Rs. 69.90 lakh
German car maker Mercedes Benz today launched its performance oriented GLA 45 AMG 4 Matic crossover of GLA family in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom price in Mumbai). The GLA 45 AMG is the eighth version of AMG vehicles which has been launched in Indian car market. Alike other versions of AMG vehicles the new GAL 45 AMG 4 MATIC is also developed on same MFA platform and receives same treatment in form of projector headlamps, Avantagrde grille, and sporty bumper.
Mechanically the crossover is empowered with 2.0 ltre turbocharged direct injection four cylinder engine generating the power of 355 bhp and torque of 450 Nm. The four wheel driver crossover is offered with seven speed AMG speed shift unit followed 4MATIC 4AWD system. The engine is capable of reaching the top notch of 250 kmph and picks the speed from standstill to 10 kmph within the span of 4.8 seconds. Inside the cabin it receives luxurious treatment including special seats and instrument cluster designed specifically for AMG vehicles. Interestingly the AMG badge and read seat belts help in making 45 AMG look different from original GLA. Apart from this the red stitching on seats grab the attention of passengers at first instance followed by headrests supported with AMG motif.
Moving back to exteriors although the side profile is same as the other siblings of GLA class but here you will find 18 inch wheels along with flared wheel arches. The length of roofline has also been minimized to give the crossover a sporty treatment. On the rear side the crossover receives rear diffuser with quad exhausts and carbon fibre surroundings. The tail lamps and bootlid remains the same but now company has also placed AMG badge at the centre of bootlid making it easier for everyone to view it.
