New Mercedes GLK spied, unveil at the Geneva Motor Show

The Audi Q5 arch rival Mercedes GLK facelift seems to be round the corner as is suggested by the recent spy pictures. It is also expected that the GLK crossover SUV will get a world premiere at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March. The Mercedes Benz GLK Class SUV is an upcoming car in India and is expected to be launched soon after its facelift debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The new crossover SUV by Mercedes is expected to be priced at Rs 45 lakh and is a strong rival of German carmaker’s Audi Q5.

Apart from makeover urgency, the GLK facelift is also a consequence of the increasing competition among SUVs across world. Where it has gradually started looking dated, the GLK SUV by Mercedes is in competition with Audi Q5 that is really a giant to compete with. Apart from this Mercedes has the habit of keeping its model line up fresh always and it seldom lets its cars to have the same look and feel for ages. However, it preserved the essentials and overall characteristics of its cars.

As per the initial information as well as the spy shots the new Mercedes Benz GLK class will have lots of changes on the front with some on the sides and little at the rear. As part of the makeover, the GLK will be having new headlamps, new bumpers and a much larger grille in comparison to the outgoing model that is now almost two years old.

On the inside, the new GLK Class will sport a new steering wheel that will be clad with lots of features such as cruise control and audio controls on it. The new Mercedes Benz GLK Class is expected to house a 2.1L diesel engine that can output 204PS and 500Nm of torque.
