New Mercedes Benz GL Class SUV spotted on shores
Recently, we were thrown light upon with the announcement of Mercedes Benz 2013 GL Class SUV’s launch in India, which is next year, around the same time of the year. And now, this seductive machine has been spotted on the shores, and this has happened well before Mercedes Benz 2013 GL Class SUV’s international launch date. The 2013 GL Class SUV is based upon the 2012 ML Class SUV, but it has been rewarded with more space (with a seating capacity of seven adults) and much bigger dimensions by Mercedes Benz. According to the close automobile sources, the 2013 GL Class SUV features new front end with new headlamps and front grille.

This new version is expected to be much more loaded with new and advanced features. The 2013 version of Mercedes Benz GL Class SUV is fitted with a 3liter V6 Diesel engine that is capable of generating peak power of 240bhp and maximum torque of 620nm. The Petrol version of this SUV is unexpected to make it to the Indian roads, for people prefer Diesel engine SUVs in the country.

Mercedes Benz will also introduce its GL Class with a 5.3liter twin turbo V8 engine, and it will be called Mercedes Benz GL63 AMG. For the Indian market, Mercedes Benz is planning to assemble the 2013 GL Class SUV in Chakan, Maharashtra.

As per some sources, Mercedes might start to send out cars to dealers, months before the CKD operations commence. This will, however, mean that CBU models will be sold at the prices of CKD until the production schedule begins at Chakan. The ML Class SUVs have already reached dealerships in India, which makes it six months prior to being started production of, in Chakan, Maharashtra.
