Mitsubishi to offer Pajero Sport in Automatic version
Hindustan Motors the Indian arm of international car maker Mitsubishi Motors is going to launch the automatic variant of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport soon in Indian car market. Although company has not yet announced the exact launch date of this version, but it is anticipated that it might be launched sometimes during the second quarter of this year. Pajero Sport was launched in 2012, Hindustan Motors assembles its parts at its Tiruvallur production plant at Chennai.
Under the hood the sport variant of Pajero is equipped with 2.5 litre diesel engine with displacement capacity of 2477 cc, churning the power of 178 bhp and torque of 400 Nm. The power to all wheels is transferred through five speed manual transmission system. The upcoming automatic version is expected to be equipped with INVECS-II- 5 speed automatic with Sportronic transmission system.
After launch Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will be tough contender to Toyota Fortuner which at present dominates the segment. The automatic variant of Fortuner is coated with 4 speed auto gearbox. It would be interested to see the fight of dominance between the vehicles in coming future. Till then stay tuned with carkhabri.
