More than 21000 bookings garnered by Maruti Suzuki Baleno
Launched almost a month ago Maruti Suzuki Baleno hatchback from country’s top manufacturing company is reported to receive more 21000 bookings and expect an increase in this figure during coming days. According to Mr. RS Kalsi, Executive Director, Sales and Marketing, MSI, said, "We have witnessed over 56,000 footfalls for Baleno in the last 10 days and have already received 21,000 bookings for the premium hatchback."
Offered in both petrol and diesel variants empowered with 1.2 litre VVT and 1.3 litre DDis engines respectively Baleno is one of the premium hatchbacks launched by MSIL with starting price of Rs. 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). Revealing company’s future strategy about Baleno Mr. Kalsi said, "We hope to achieve leadership market share in the premium hatchback segment. We have invested about 1,060 crore in this project (manufacturing of Baleno). We will be making exports to 100 overseas locations including Europe, Japan, South America in 2016."
Launched with an objective to compete with Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo and Honda Jazz, the Baleno is adorned with fleet of various luxurious and safety features including body painted door handles, rear combination lamps with LED, bumpers, ORVMs, ABS+EBD, anti theft security system, force limiters, front seat belt sensors, and dual airbags.
