MSIL to start bookings of Ciaz soon, to be launch in September
Overwhelmed from the successful launch of its recent hatchback Celerio in Indian car market, country’s leading car making company is all set to launch its new sedan Ciaz in Indian car market sometimes during the month of September 2014. Prior to this the car maker had showcased the sedan during the Indian Auto Expo 2014. The sedan will replace the existing sedan SX4 from Indian car market and would be offered in both petrol and diesel trims. The bookings are expected to commence from the first week of August 2014.

The petrol version would be empowered with 1.4 litre K Series petrol engine which would be same as offered in Ertiga SUV. This engine will churn the power of 95 PS and torque of 130Nm. The diesel variant will be empowered with 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine boosting the power of 90PS and torque of 200 Nm. It is speculated to be offered with starting price of Rs. 7.5 lakh.
The Ciaz has been caught testing on Indian roads at several occasions and according to reports the sedan sports swept back headlamps, new grille followed by horizontal planks and Suzuki’s badge integrated on it. On the rear side it receives new bumper giving it more sportier look. Inside the cabin it receives spacious cabin and enlarged boot space.
