New Chevrolet Spark to debut in SA
Chevrolet Spark is one car that has literally set abuzz GM sales since its new version as arrived. The same Spark is sold as Chevrolet Beat in India. Now the car maker is all set to give a facelift to the Spark in South Africa. The new Spark or aka Beat in India will have several features that are in fact necessary to rock the segment as there have been many entries lately that have literally dampened the sales of this car. The Beat in India is popular for it extra mileage by the Chevrolet Beat Diesel and people prefer it over other cars for its comfort, safety and small manageable size. Though not a competitor of segment leader Maruti Swift but the Beat in fact has the guts to beat other cars such as Tata Indica eV2 in the segment.
The 2013 edition of the Spark in South Africa will have a host of features that will make it an up market hatchback. This is believed to be one of the serious facelifts by the company as the segment is getting some stylistic upgrades. Apart from exterior image makeover, the inside also gets a lot of changes that is sure to make this hatchback a hit in the segment.
The new Beat gets new headlamps, new grille that gives more breathing space to the car. Wings with indicators mounted giving it the look and feel of an ultra modern car. The car houses on 14 inch and 15 inch option alloys giving it the perfect road grip and ground clearance. Other cosmetic upgrades include side skirts, new cladding for the exhaust opening, a sporty rear spoiler, and a lot of decal options besides new seat fabric and all new highly functional centre console. The engine lineup remains the same.
