New Hyundai i20 at World rally Championship
Buzz has it that Hyundai is evaluating options to re-enter in the World Rally Championship in 2013 and is likely to use a racer conceived on Hyundai i20 small car. Apart from this, Volkswagen Polo WRC and Skoda S2000 variants are also not a part of road legal cars and hence are designed specifically for the World Rally Championships.
Along with the European car companies who participate in the highest level of rallying, the South Korean auto major too is all set to start its second innings there and prove its metal in the famous rallying contest. Next year Hyundai too will be one of the auto firms participating in the WRC and therefore it is developing a new hatch based on i20.

Such type of motorsport events help auto manufacturers to get information that can help them to improve dynamic properties of the car.
With Hyundai jumping into the contest could prove to be a huge help on improving the dynamic properties of its cars specially Hyundai i20 as it would be the one that will be used in the contest. So can we see a new Hyundai i20 soon, well this remain a speculation until Hyundai gives a hint about it. The rallying still has a long time to go, therefore let us not nurse this speculation, only time will tell what happens.
