New Hyundai i20, i30 Tourer launched
The Korean car maker Hyundai has launched the new Hyundai i20 with the 1.1 L diesel engine and 1.2 L petrol engine option. This facelift model has been launched in Galway, Ireland and it is expected that the new model of the i20 will be setting in a new car buying spree there. The small car by Hyundai is already popular in Ireland and the new face of it will be attracting more buyers. The new i20 has a five speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile setting afire the car market, Hyundai has also launched the i30 based Tourer in there and this will be placed juxtaposed the Hyundai i30 hatchback that arrived in Ireland last year. The new i20 price starts at €15,495 while the new i20 Diesel starts at €16,995.

Apart from the new exterior fluidic design, the new i20 also has new wheel designs, new head lamps, a new grill which is hexagonal in shape and all these combine to make the new i20 different from the outgoing generation. On the other hand the new 1.2 engine is also expected to lower the emissions and will also improve the fuel efficiency of the car. The petrol engine has been tuned to produced 85 PS power which is above the 78 PS it used to produced earlier. Apart from this, the new i20’s 1.1 L diesel engine has received a drastic decrease in CO2 emissions. Besides, its fuel economy has increased by 13.5 percent over the outgoing 1.4 L CRDi engine.

In addition to the engine performance and fuel efficiency upgrade, the new i20 also has made a lot of features as standard. These include auto rear view mirror that dims at night. For those who face a bit of difficulty in parking, the new i20 has preinstalled rear view camera and there is park assist program for trouble free parking. USB enabled, iPod compatible audio system and rain sensing wipers are also a big addition to the standard equipment.
