New Hyundai i20 launch in 2014-15!

Hyundai has been in reports recently following its fluidic version in the making. Similarly, there are now reports that the Hyundai hatchback will be entering its new generation in 2014. It is also learnt that the new Hyundai i20 will be codenamed IB and will be a form scratch incarnation of the fluidic design. The outgoing generation of i20 is current undergoing a makeover soon and will be launched soon.

Reports also suggest that the new Hyundai will land in India somewhere in 2014 or early 2015. The current version that has been spotted testing recently is the facelift version only and should not be confused with a new generation. This is due to the fact that Hyundai fluidic design is inside out and is not only restricted to exterior appearance. The best time for its launch in 2014/2015 could be the annual Geneva Motor Sow.

The current facelift would also include inside changes including revision of the central console and the dash besides the fluidic conversion of the exteriors. The new generation Hyundai i20 is expected to be launched in India after a global launch at the Geneva Motor Show. This new i20 is expected to have a fluidic design in entirety and is not expected to carry on any of the body parts three years from now. The i20 is expected to continue with the 1.2L Kappa engine while there is strong likelihood that a new diesel engine avatar may appear under the hood of the new i20 car.

By all means, the new fluidic i20 is expected to have similar dimensions as the present generation. However at a later stage a hybrid or electric version may appear on the product list that will make i20 more viable and more frugal to maintain and enable the car to lead its segment in India.
