New Hyundai i20 launches in Nepal, India to get new version soon
South Korean automobile maker Hyundai Motor Company has launched its popular and global premium hatchback Hyundai i20 in Nepal yesterday. The bold and stylish premium hatchback, new i-Gen i20 has been offered to Nepalian customers by Laxmi InterContinental Pvt Ltd (LIPL), sole distributor of Hyundai Vehicles for Nepal. Its petrol model which has a 1.2 kappa petrol engine with dual VTVT mechanism and delivers 84 ps of peak power has been launched in that market.

In Nepalian auto market, the new Hyundai iGen i20 is priced between Rs 2.556 million to Rs 3.096 million. It comes equipped with features of rear parking camera with display, electro chromic mirror, auto headlight control, dual airbags, clean air-cluster ionizer, ABS, rain sensing wipers, Smart key with push button start, leather wrapped steering wheel and many more. Price of the premium hatchback in that market is very similar to a premium sedan due to high taxes.

At present, Indian car makers are taking interest in Nepalian auto market and launching their vehicles one by one. Honda India is also ready to throw its popular sedan, Ford India has already made announcement about the launch of its global SUV, Ecosport in that market. On the other hand, India will be getting the next generation or 2015 i20 by near future. Many of times, the new i20 has been captured by camera on Indian roads during test run.
