New Hyundai i20 TV commercial – live Uber life with new i20

Super, outstanding are the two words that best define the new Hyundai i20 facelift. Recently Hyundai has floated a TV commercial in which the Korean car maker urges people to live the Uber life with the new Hyundai i20. And the new i20 has the guts to prove the same. New exterior styling, new comfort features and renewed interiors apart from a variety of other changes have all made new i20 a prominent player in the entry level premium hatchback segment. In sales, the new i20 is only second to the new Maruti Swift.    

Hyundai’s made a slow start with the marketing activities of the i20 facelift. The B+ Segment is the hottest playground at this time and the i20 is second only to the Swift. The i20 was launched at the Geneva Motor Show and had a soft launch in India recently. However, for long the car buyers were waiting for the car and booking were also dwindling due to the reports that the new i20 is coming. Thus as soon as the new i20 was in, the booking reappeared with full force.  

The new i20 features a lot of new features on the outside and a lot on the inside as well. The exteriors have a new overall styling with the Storm Edge design in place and Hyundai adopting the Fluidic design in toto for its cars. The new headlamps are wraparound types; there is a new high gloss grille and completely new fog lamps besides a makeover of the front styling. On the inside, the new i20 gets a first in class supervision cluster, air-cluster ionizer that keeps the air inside fresh and full of oxygen, an electro chrome rear view mirror that automatically reduces glare from the headlights of the trailing vehicles.  

Apart from this the i20 features stunning safety features. These are two airbags, ABS, EBD, reverse parking sensors and camera, rain sensing wipers, clutch lock and a new feature that overrides the accelerator in case of panic braking. In addition to it, there is also lane change indicator. The new i20 is available in 1.2 L Kappa petrol and 1.4 L CRDi engine with five speed manual gears and a 1.4 Gamma petrol engine with four speed automatic gearbox.
