New Hyundai i20 wears the Fluidic ideology, may be launched at Auto Expo

Hyundai Motors is expected to unveil the first upgrade of its best selling hatchback car Hyundai i20 at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo that is scheduled to be held in the first week of next month. As per the reports, since last couple of months the car has been frequently spied testing under heavy cover-up near its manufacturing plant in Chennai. The new Hyundai i20 is considered to be a part of its famous design philosophy of ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ as the company would now want all its existing car models to obey the stance of this style concept. Hyundai Verna Fluidic was the first vehicle from the Korean automaker’s stable to showcase the acclaimed approach.

The company is aware of the fact that to keep the sales charts ticking and keeping in mind the future launches of the competitors it has to confer its vehicles with necessary amendments from time-to-time. The i20 challengers Volkswagen Polo and Ford Figo are expected to get cosmetic changes before their launch in 2012. Maruti Suzuki has already launched New Maruti Swift diesel in a grandeur avatar that has received accolades from all over. The 2012 Fiat Punto is ready to hit the showrooms on 3rd January 2012.

Since the launch of the hatchback in India in the year 2008, there has been no upgrading, as far the exteriors are concerned. And now, the main focus of this face-lift will be the incorporation of Fluidic concept in the looks of Hyundai i20 apart from very little or no changes under the bonnet.

When the Hyundai i20 was launched there was no such hatchback in the country that could offer the kind of advanced elements on the instrument panel along with the comfortable interiors and adequate amount of boot space and ample safety features furthermore with an engine that was thoroughly fuel efficient.
