New Hyundai Sonata launched at Rs 18.52 lakh
The ‘most excellent’ fluidic sedan till date by Hyundai Motors, the 2012 Hyundai Sonata that was showcased at Delhi Expo in now officially launched in the country. The full sized feature-packed sedan is available with two engine transmissions of automatic and manual at a sensible ex-showroom price of INR 18.54 Lakh and INR 20.61 Lakh respectively. In India, it will fight with the likes of Skoda Superb, Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. The aptly premium car Sonata carries some inconceivable modern elements in every aspect be it mesmerizing exteriors or luxurious interiors or even class leading safety features.

The New Sonata was a bit delayed due to the upcoming Union Budget, as the company wanted to price the sedan competitively in the challenging sedan segment.

Under the hood it carries a 2.4L petrol power train that is coupled with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. Inside the cabin, it has appropriate leather upholstery along with front and rear seat with ventilations. There are seat warmers for front seats combined with 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and a 4-way flexible seat for passenger next to driver. There is Xenon high intensity headlamps for better clarity combined with cruise control, leather steering wheel and audio controls mounted on the steering.

Hyundai has provided the car with optimum safety as it boasts as many as 6 airbags, rear view camera and intelligent key with push start button. While there is ABS (Anti-lock Braking system) with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution) together with anti-skid features like TCS (Traction Control System) and ESP (Electronic Stability Program).
