New limited edition Toyota Corolla Altis launched

The Indian arm of the Japanese auto giant Toyota Motors has launched a new limited edition of their popular premium sedan Toyota Corolla Altis in the country. The new limited edition Corolla Altis is aimed at making the most of the high demand momentum in coming festive season. According to the company, the new special edition has been launched to celebrate the completion of 10 glorious years of Corolla sedan in India. The special edition is coming in two variants priced at Rs 11.45 lakh for 1.8L petrol and 12.84 lakh for 1.4L diesel version. The company, however, hasn’t revealed the quantity of this limited edition that it is going to produce for Indian buyers.

The new limited edition of the car hosts a range of cosmetic upgrades at both interior and exterior fronts. This is the second limited edition of Corolla Altis in Indian within a span of few months, as the company had launched an ‘Aero Edition’ in the last quarter. The new edition is offered in only lower trim of Corolla Altis sedan – the Corolla J - that makes these trims more value for money. The modifications at the exterior front include newly designed grille, new rear bumper, new rear combination lamp, and a limited edition badge on backdoor. Inside the car, there are few valuable modifications including 5.8-inch touchscreen audio system along with Bluetooth connectivity, key less entry, four spoke steering, etc.

At present, Corolla Altis model is facing a tough competition from the rivals Chevrolet Cruze, Renault Fluence; Hyundai’s all new Elantra and Skoda Laura. While the existing special edition will be enabling the Corolla Altis range to compete more promptly with its rivals, the company is also planning to roll-out a new generation version of this model in India by next year.
