New Maruti A-Star launched in India
Maruti India has launched the new version of its premium hatch Maruti A-Star. The world class small car now has more stunning features that are sure to woo the younger generation across nations. This is the makeover of the 7th generation of Maruti A-Star and was launched in 2008. Three words best describe the new Maruti A-Star-good looking, comfort interiors and top-notch safety. With the new version in, Maruti A-Star will be able to stand firm in front of Hyundai i10 and recently launched Hyundai Eon. The new A-Star will start selling from Friday. New Maruti A-Star price starts at Rs 3.66 lakh and goes up to Rs 4.40 lakh for the A Star ZXi model that has airbags and ABS.

As part of the modifications in the new Maruti A-Star, Maruti has added features inside and a lot of exterior shades to mesmerize the onlookers. Two colors- Pearl Caffeine Brown and Glistening Grey have been added to the existing shades. Interiors are now clad in grey and beige dual tone color and the upholstery has been clad in beige. The rear seats are 50:50 split and thus expect a lot of space inside the new Maruti A-Star. A rear spoiler now steps up the overall look of the car and makes it sportier than ever. There has been much attention given to the safety department. The new A-Star is now available with an optional airbag and Anti-Lock Braking System. Besides, the introduction of an automatic version was a wise decision by Maruti lately and it accounts the 1/3 of the Maruti A-Star sales.

Overall, the car has been designed to make it sportier and a sports car or a sportier vehicle is the first preference of youths. Maruti wants to encash the fact that the average car buyers have gone younger in India.
Produced at the Manesar plant, new A-Star is the world class model by homegrown car maker offers 19kmpl ARAI tested average and sports a 998cc K series engine. It is exported to various countries across globe majorly to European market and has a total of 130 variants.
