New Maruti A-Star sales begins tomorrow
India’s giant automaker, Maruti Suzuki has heated-up the market with the unveiling of the all new Maruti Suzuki A-Star (company is naming it ‘Spiced Up’), will be on retail sale from 27th January. This compact car is priced around Rs.3.67 lakh to Rs 4.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). On an average it will be Rs.1000 costlier.
The Chief Marketing General Manager of Maruti Suzuki, Shashank Srivastava said that the new version of the Maruti Suzuki A-Star comes with plenty of enhancements adding the new edges of comfort, feel and elegance, required as per the customer’s feedbacks.

The revamped interior, premium upholstery and high-quality material with new color schemes (grey & beige) provide refreshing feel. Though, the 998cc K10P petrol engine remains same offering a peak power of 67 PS and torque of 90 NM. The ARAI has rated the A-Star with the fuel efficiency of 19km/ltr. Its top variant ‘Maruti Suzuki A-Star ZXi has been also unveiled by the company that comes fitted with optional airbags and ABS.
The automatic version Maruti Suzuki A-Star is accounting a significant sales (around one third) of the total model’s sales, had been introduced in 2011. The automatic version is the fifth global model from the company, had manufacturing at Manesar plant only.

According to the official sources, company has sold the 3.81 lakh units of the Maruti Suzuki A-Star in overseas. Maruti has sold more than 2.81 units across the 130 countries including European markets (like Netherlands, Germany, Italy, UK, Spain) along with South Africa and Australia.
