New Maruti Ritz spotted, front receives the change, interiors upgraded

New Maruti Ritz was spotted in the Delhi NCR region recently doing its rounds of tests. The test mule all blacked out to hide the vital details appeared more like the present Ritz but with new features. It was time that the hatchback Ritz gets a makeover when all its siblings have received a facelift lately. Some time back there were reports suggesting a makeover of the rear of the Ritz. However, real changes seem to be at the front as the spyshots of the rear of the facelifted Ritz suggested little dissimilarity with the present model. The Maruti Ritz price starts at Rs 4.02 lakh and its diesel models are quite popular in the hatchback segment in India.  

The new Ritz that was spotted in the camouflaged mode in the National Capital Region (NCR) seemed more like the present generation but a close look tells a different story. Now that the rear and front spyshots of the new Ritz are in a comprehensive change can be figured out. Starting the front, the new Ritz has undergone a change in the front grille prominently followed by the new headlamps that are inspired by the style of the new Maruti Swift. The new swept back headlamps are multi barreled with side indicators on the top. All part of the headlamp assembly. With the grille and the headlamps, the bonnet of the Ritz has also received changes. The rear has received the same styling but with changed tail lamps.

Maruti Ritz is among the best selling car by Maruti in India and it is sold in other countries as Maruti Splash and Opel Agila. As opposed to new Maruti Swift, the Ritz has a tall boy design that makes it easy entry and exit from the car. The Ritz is available in petrol, diesel options and a CNG Ritz is in the offing. The powertrain on the new Ritz is expected to remain the same. However, a slight price rise is expected with certain new features inside.
