New Mercedes Benz E Class launch in India set for June 25
A facelifted version of the high-end luxury saloon Mercedes Benz E Class will be launched in India on 25th June, 2013. Mercedes Benz India which is testing the flavour of the success of its premium hatchback A-Class in domestic market, reported that it will throw the facelifted or revamped version of the popular high-end luxury saloon on June 25. Recently, pictures of the new E Class have also been rendered and it appears more sporty and aggressive than existing model.
The 2013 Mercedes Benz E-Class Facelifted will be made available in both petrol and diesel engine options. Its gasoline fuel run model has a 2.0-litre, direct injection motor under the cap that churns out top power of 184bhp and the diesel fuel run model has been loaded with a 2.2L, 204 Bhp oil burner. Both engines have four-cylinder units and mated to a 7 speed G-tronic automatic transmission. Its new version is promised to be fuel efficient because it gets start-stop system as standard. The company has discontinued the top-end six-cylinder E350 CDI variant.

On the other hand, after reported very well response for A Class hatchback, the German auto giant is mulling to assemble it locally. At present, Mercedes Benz India assembles the E Class, C Class, S Class and M Class cars. Till August this year it will also start assembling of GL Class at the Chakan plant.
