New Mercedes Benz E Class on its way, unveil at Detroit show

The Mercedes Benz E Class has given some of the essential inputs to the growth of the brand in India. Now in order to nourish its roots, the car maker will be giving the E Class a facelift next year. The new E Class launch is scheduled next year and car buyers will find a lot of improvement on looks, features and most probably a new frugal engine line up. In order to fuel anticipation for the new E Class, Mercedes has recently floated a teaser of the same showing major changes on the new car. The E Class price currently starts at Rs 40.39 lakh and this car is a prime rival of BMW 3 Series and Audi A6. It will be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show.

It is believed that the new design and new features on the car will attract buyers and Mercedes could get some quick numbers next year when it will be launched. This will not only help Mercedes save it third pedestal position but could also strengthen its position further as Audi has already pushed the car maker and the gap is widening. It is also believed that Mercedes could also think of a price cut in order to position its car well against BMW and Audi cars. 

As part of the design changes, the new E Class will have a new front, new headlamps and new grille. In addition to this, there will be addition of more safety features to it as safety and comfort comes first in this segment rather than frugality or the price of the car. The interiors are going to have new plastics and improved lumbar support apart from a lot of changes here and there inside in view of the convenience of the occupants. New improved cruise control and new braking system will make way in the new Mercedes car. The suspension control system will be in place that will adapt the car as per the road conditions and besides this the car will also have 1.6 L engine variant that will pull down the price of the entry level variant.
