New Mercedes Benz M Class SUV goes on sale in Australia

When India is about to get the new Mercedes Benz M Class SUV this May 15, the SUV goes on sale in Australia. The new model has replaced the seven year old model that was still fetching decent sales numbers. Notably, the new M Class SUV is the latest generation of the SUV and it has gone on sale in Australia while India still has the old generation car available. In Australia, the entry level M Class SUV model is available for $81,400. The new model of the Mercedes M Class SUV is both an upgrade in styling as well as in power and aggressive pricing.

As per the information from various media sources, the Mercedes Benz M Class entry level model is ML 250 BlueTec diesel that has a peak power output of 150 kW with a whooping 500 Nm torque making the SUV inwardly and outwardly powerful. This model is powered by a 3 litre diesel engine. The other model ML 350 BlueTec has a six cylinder 190 kW, 620 Nm diesel engine and this is the one that is expected to be launched in India as well. This model has a mileage of around 12 kmpl.

The other model which is in petrol will be the ML 350 BlueEfficiency and it will have a peak power of 225 kW and a peak torque of 370 Nm. The most powerful among the Mercedes M Class models is the ML 500 which will now be coming in 4.7 litre petrol engine with 300 kW power and a peak torque of 600 Nm. Whereas the AMG series M Class car will have a 5.5 l biturb engine with a V8 engine. This will have a maximum power delivery of 286 kW and a max torque of 700 Nm. this SUV catches 100 kmph mark in just 4.8 seconds.
