New Renault Fluence Diesel launched, priced at Rs 15.12 lakh
At the time when the petrol prices were soaring and hampering the car sales in the auto sector, the French carmaker, Renault had launched its sedan Fluence with a distinctive approach of pricing the petrol variant higher than its diesel powered vehicle. The tactic was good enough to magnetize the car buyers, but unfortunately it failed. The basic reason for this letdown was its contenders that offered their vehicle with more features in the same pricing, seeing that the consumer surrendered to the competition. Learning from their mistake the company has now offered a ‘feature-packed’ diesel version of the sedan in the name of Renault Fluence Diesel E4.
The company launched Renault Fluence in the month of May 2011 with petrol run as well as diesel run power-trains. Earlier model of Renault Fluence E2 Diesel was available at the cost of nearly INR 13.63 Lakhs and for the new E4 version one need to fetch out around INR 1.49 Lakh more and that calculates up to INR 15.12 Lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). With this extra cost the consumer is presented with host of new elements in the interior, exterior, safety along with some accessories.

In the interiors of Renault Fluence Diesel E4, one will find upper class leather upholstery in beige shade together with USB feature and Bluetooth outfitted entertainment system. The absence of dual zone climate controller was felt in the last edition that is now rectified and to ensure uniform cooling in the car the AC ducts are now placed in the rear as well.
The sedan now comes equipped with present day features like Cruise control, rear sun-blinds and parking sensors at the rear for enhanced safety.
The additions in the exterior part include rain sensing wipers, electrically foldable and adjustable Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs) in conjunction with auto headlights in the front of Renault Fluence E4 Diesel.
