New Sedan Honda Civic is about to launch in Town soon
Better mileage is the newest feature that is coming in the Indian market in no more time. The media drives for all new D-Segment Honda Civic is on and it’s just few more weeks away from official launch. The specs have been revealed and is has been made clear that this car will be the most fuel-efficient sedan in the D-segment, outdoing competitors such as Toyota Corolla, Skoda Octavia and Hyundai Elantra. The all new Honda Civic delivers a mileage of 26.8kmpl while Corolla and Elantra manages 23Kmpl, with Octavia bringing up the back with 21Kmpl.
The Toyota Corolla Altis, Hyundai Elantra, Skoda Octavia are core competitors of Honda Civic. The high mileage of this new launch may be attributed to the tame state of tune for its 1.6 Litre aluminium engine which makes 123 Bhp- 300 Nm. Unlike SUV, gets a single, 6 speed manual gearbox option on the Civic.
The 10th generation Civic has also received mid life makeover, coming on with its another engine option i.e. 1.8 litre i-VTEC petrol with 138Bhp of peak power and 174 Nm of peak torque. The Honda Civic petrol engine has an automatic standard CVT gearbox, which gets 7 stepped shifts that can be controlled by paddle mounted behind the steering wheel.
