New Toyota Corolla Altis unveiled

The new Toyota Corolla Altis pictures have recently been unveiled. Toyota has released the first photos of the all-new 2014 Corolla. The next generation version is fully based on the Furia concept car showcased at the Detroit motor show in January. And, now the beast is reported to be launched by the end of this year un US auto market. Targeting the young generation, the company have given sporty and stylish appearance to new Altis which fully appears just like Toyota Camry sedan.

The new Corolla will come with upgraded 1.8-litre, dual VVTi, petrol and 1.4-litre, variable geometry turbo diesel engines which are expected to provide impressive power and fuel economy. Both the engine are reported to be mated to a very smooth and fuel efficient 7-speed CVT automatic gearbox. It will come equipped with new LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, touch-screen audio system and many more innovative features. In Indian auto market, the 2014 Corolla Altis is expected to be launched by next year.

On the other hand, the Japanese auto major has recently recalled the 1000 units of Altis diesel in Indian domestic auto market. The company has recalled the Corolla Altis in India built between the 3rd August 2012 and 14th February 2013. Meanwhile, including Toyota Prius hybrid sedan, 242,000 Toyota vehicles have also been recalled worldwide.
