New Toyota Corolla launches in two versions, India in the waiting list
The popular, almost world car by the Japanese car maker Toyota is all set to launch the new version of bestselling car – Toyota Corolla. This time the two new versions will be that of the sedan and the station wagon body types. The Corolla has in fact become a world car with over 38 million cars worldwide on roads including India. The Rs 11 lakh sedan in India is one of the best selling cars in the premium sedan segment and the addition of a new version and a new station wagon body to it will surely hot up its market in the country.

Already in its eleventh generation, the first Toyota corolla was first launched in 1968. Recently in Japan the car maker has launched the new generation Toyota Corolla called as Corolla Axio there. In the ASEAN countries, the Corolla is known as Toyota Corolla Altis. In India as well the car is known by this name. Japan has also received the new and improved model of the Corolla station wagon that is called as Corolla Fielder in the country of the rising sun. And for Corolla as well Japan is its homeland and it is from here that the car has originated.

Both the Axio sedan and Fielder are four seater cars and are designed to face the complexities of the city conditions and is designed to maneuver well in the city. The petrol powered Corolla sedan and Station Wagon have 1.3 L and 1.5 L engine options and both these engines promise high performance as well as mileage delivery. The 1.3 L petrol models uses Dual VVT-I technology and delivers a mileage above 20 kmpl whereas the 1.5 L which is more powerful than the other is comparatively low on mileage but it delivers top notch performance.
