New Toyota Etios based hatch and sedan in China soon

Toyota Etios sedan and the Etios Liva hatchback are synonymous with success in India for the Japanese automaker. The recent TRD Sportivo editions which were extended to Toyota Fortuner were a big hit among those who wish to have great sporty looks and styling. These two cars are in fact also one of the best priced Toyota cars in India as well and it is the price of Etios and Etios Liva hatchback that lead them in their respective segments to prove their mettle against Maruti Swift and Maruti Swift Dzire. Now the latest buzz is that low cost cars or simply the stripped versions of Etios sedan and Liva hatchback could soon rock Chinese market.

Notably, the Etios and Liva are already a success in after a success in Brazil and South Africa after India and Toyota is getting a much inspiring response from these markets. However, the Etios and Liva models for China will be a little different from those being sold in India, Brazil and South Africa. It is believed that the car giant could use the Dear Qin concept to derive new hatchback and sedan out of it. This way the two new Toyota cars will be entirely new products and the Etios twins will have the change to seat at a different price range.

 

Meanwhile, where Toyota is thinking of putting in a rival to the Chinese best seller Chevrolet Sail hatchback in the form of a new hatchback, the American car maker will be launching the Sail UVA in India tomorrow. Thus, the American car maker has taken a lead in launching a rival car. Expected to be priced around Rs 4.5 lakh, the new Chevrolet hatchback Sail UVA is expected to straightway eat a lot of Toyota Etios Liva’s share as this is the most vulnerable car because Sail could little dampen Maruti Swift sales.
