New Volvo Sedan to be launched in India

Swedish carmaker Volvo launched its new Sedan, 2011 Volvo S60 in India .The starting price for S60 Volvo is Rs 27 lakhs, competing with German brands luxury cars, the Mercedes Benz C ClassBMW 3 Series and Audi 4 which are currently ruling the Indian Auto market.

At present, Volvo car is priced in the range of Rs. 38 to 55 lakhs in the Indian auto market.

The Managing Director of Volvo Auto India, Tomas Ernberg said that they are looking at introducing the version of luxury sedan with essential features and may hit the Indian market in 2012.Unadorned version would help to abate the price of its cars and help to compete with BMW, Mercedes and Audi.

The company has no plans to manufacture these cars in India as their pricing is aggressive and area of affairs in India is very small. Last year Volvo sold 130 units and expecting 400 to 500 units this year.

Volvo Auto India owned by Chinese Auto maker Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Company, a luxury car company in India, one of the most competitive market in the world. Volvo established in India just over three years ago and opened its first dealership in 2008.They are currently marketing its products through the dealerships in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Pune and Kochi.

Some of the popular hatchback models in the Indian auto market are Chevrolet Beat Diesel, Toyota Etios Liva, Ford Figo, Maruti SwiftHyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo. Apart from these popular models, cars going to hit the Indian roads this year are Maruti Cervo and Honda Brio.

Volvo is excellent brand for cars. all volvo car models are good interior, powerfull pick up, top speed, stylish & awesome.
