Volvo launches S60 Cross Country in India
Swedish car maker Volvo today started its journey for 2016 in Indian car market by launching S60 Cross Country sedan with starting price of Rs. 38.9 lakh (ex-showroom, in New Delhi and Mumbai) exclusive of Octroi. Being launched to fill the gap between SUV and sedan the vehicle has been named as Cross giving the new sedan completely a new and rugged look with spacious cabin.
Empowered with 2.4 litre, five-cylinder D4 diesel engine boosting the power of 187 bhp and mated with six speed automatic transmission system, the vehicle is offered with four wheel drive system. Developed on platform of regular Volvo S60 sedan the cross country S60 carries almost same look but with advanced features and impressive looks. The features which differentiate it from regular S60 sedan includes plastic body covering, silver skid pates with newly developed grille, enlarged ground clearance and 18 inch alloy wheel which can be extended up-to 19 inches according to requirement.
The new S60 Cross Country has been launched to compete with BMW3-Series, recently launched Jaguar EX, Audi A4 and Mercedes Benz C-Class. Inside the cabin it receives almost same treatment as offered by its other siblings. The enlarged digital instrument cluster grabs your attention as first instance as soon as you enter inside the luxurious sedan, the central console continues the keypad outlook, continuing the identity of Swedish car maker. Mounted in dashboard the central console embellishes various features like Bluetooth connectivity, reverse camera with parking sensors, navigation system and ergonomic sports seats supported with leather upholstery.
