Volvo S60 2021 Launched With An Introductory Price Of Rs. 45.90 Lakh
Volvo India, the Indian alliance of Swedish carmaker Volvo has launched the refreshed version of its premium sedan S60 with the starting price of Rs. 45.90 (ex-showroom price). The company has launched the limited units of the sedan and the buyers will be required to book it online. The bookings of the premium sedan have been already initiated by the carmaker and the company is going to start the deliveries of the bookings during January and February from the second week of March 2021.
Under the hood, it comes equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine boosting the power of 190 bhp and the torque of 300Nm. The transmission duties are performed by an eight-speed automatic transmission system and offered with three driving modes, namely Comfort, ECO, and Dynamic. Dimensionally, it has the length of 4,761mm, the width of 2,040mm, the height of, 1,431 mm, and the wheelbase of 2,872mm.

The sedan received a 5-star rating in the Euro NCAP test and integrates lots of high-tech safety features like brakes with hill start assist, adaptive cruise control, speed alert, driver alert, pilot assist system, and a few more. Moving it also comes equipped with an auto brake technology to alert the driver in case of expected crashes. It is said that it is the only sedan in the segment that is capable of recognizing pedestrians, animals, and cyclists. The pilot assist system is further updated and assists the driver in retaining the control on the vehicle even driving at the speed of 130kmph.
As far as the looks of 2021 Volvo S60 are concerned it receives the new design philosophy with Volov logo mounted on the two-slated grille. Other exterior features include ‘Thor’s Hammer’ headlights and C-shaped tail-lights. Inside the cabin, it receives the features like a nine-inch portrait touchscreen, 4-zone climate control system, rear parking camera, a panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon sound system, and an 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. In the Indian car market, it will go against the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3-Series, the Jaguar XE, and the facelift Audi A4 slated for the launch during this year.
