Sources in the car industry say that this is perhaps the first significant uplift in the overall looks and other features of the Volvo SUV since its launch nine years ago. As part of the exterior design changes, the car has received bumpers that match to the shade of the body color, besides other body parts painted in body color. The segment essential LED lights now find a place on the XC90. Volvo has also inherited the LED tailgate from the Volvo R Series. The Volvo XC90 now treads on 18 inch alloys and has got the side skirts to keep it safe from side scratches. There is also chrome and silver garnishing on the outside of the new Volvo SUV. In addition to this, the XC 90 SUV windshields now come with rain sensing wipers and automatic headlight cleaning mechanism which is a worth addition for off roading.

The new Volvo XC90 is all the more pleasing from the outside and inside as it comes with aluminum silver colored garnishing on the interiors in the basic model while there are wood inserts and more of leather work on the premium and platinum models. The engine department is almost similar as it in fact is in no need to have a makeover. Launched in US and Europe, the Volvo SUV will be a little dearer than the outgoing model.
