Volvo Launches XC90 T8 Excellence Hybrid in India
Sweden based car maker Volvo has introduced T8 Excellence Hybrid version of its SUV XC90 in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 1.25 Crore (ex-shwroom, Delhi). The prototype of T8 Excellence Hybrid of XC 90 was showcased by car make last year during Shanghai Motor Show. According to sources the latest avatar of XC90 SUV is not only the most expensive vehicle dispatched by Volvo but also the most luxurious product to come out from the bag of car maker. It would be also interested to know that besides Indian car market, the four seater SUV is sold only selected markets across the globe including France, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Belgium.

The power train offered in XC90 Excellence Hybrid includes T8 Twin-Engine Plug-in Hybrid Electric powertrain (2.0-litre supercharged and turbocharged petrol engine + 9.2kWh Lithium-ion battery) boosting the power of 402 bhp and torque of 640Nm, generated jointly by engine and battery. The transmission system includes eight speed automatic transmission system. As far as safety measures are concerned it continues the precautionary offers offered in its siblings XC90 T8 Inscription, Momentum, and R-Design.

Developed on company’s modular Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) the interiors of T8 Excellence Hybrid receives myriad of features including electronic adjustable reclining seats enriched with features like massage and ventilation, enlarged leg room with foot rests, retractable control touchscreen, refrigerator with bottle and glass holders, crystal gear shift knob, folding tables, a heated/chilled cup holder, ambient lighting system and many more. To entertain the passengers during travel the interior is enriched with Bowers & Wilkins Audio System supported by sound insulation from the Pirelli Noise Cancelling System tyres. On the exteriors you will find B and C pillar cappings borrowed by Volvo XC 90 Excellence Sports.
