Next Generation Toyota Corolla Altis to debut in Chinese market
After launching the new Toyota Corolla Altis 2014 in Indian car market couple of days back, Japanese car maker Toyota Motors is going to launch the same version in Chinese car market during the month of September this year. Prior to this the car maker had showcased the luxurious sedan at the Beijing Motor Show 2014. In Chinese car market the Corolla Altis 2014 would be offered in petrol version with option of two engines 1.8 petrol and 1.6 petrol engine with 2 trims and five trims respectively.
The petrol 1.8 engine develops the power of 138 bhp and coated with six speed manual transmission and CVT transmission system, while the 1.6 petrol variant churns the power of 120 bhp and coated with five speed manual transmission system and also CVT transmission system. The speculated price of 1.8 litre would be 159,800 Yuan (Rs. 15.15 lakh) and price of 1.6 litre petrol could be 107,800 Yuan (Rs. 10.22 lakh).
Industry experts believe that going through the same market conditions in both Indian and Chinese car market, the features offered in exteriors and interiors of Toyota Corolla Altis 2014 would be same. Apart from this it is also reported that car maker will also produce the version of Corolla Altis for American market in collaboration of FAW Toyota and would be sold as Levin.
