Nissan Sunny and Micra prices to increase from next month
Bad news for Nissan car fanatics in India! Another price hike for the Nissan cars is on its way. Today, Nissan India made an official announcement that there would a small amount of price hike on its selected models. The main reason behind this increase in the price tags is the high input costs and the sky-rocketing amplification in the transportation and logistics costs because of elevated fuel prices.

As it is said, that every cloud has a silver lining, the models of Nissan, including Nissan Evalia would not be seeing any price hike. But on the downside, the Nissan Sunny sedan and cute Nissan Micra will have a hiked price that would come in effect from 1st of November 2012. It might not be good for consumers to see a price rise on these cars, but then the company is unaided on its part as well. The lofty input costs, transportation and the ever rising fuel prices can’t be controlled at any point. Therefore, the company has left with the one and only choice, that is to increase the costs of the vehicles.

Nissan India very well knows the reputation of Nissan Sunny and Nissan Micra amongst the Indian consumers. Both these cars have brought in some major success for the firm and are the favorites for aspiring car consumers. Hence, this minor price rise should not affect the sales here. If we take the statistics into account, the company has actually doubled its sales as compared to the last fiscal year. The main aim for Nissan is to touch the 100000 unit sales figures by 2013.

However, Nissan is not the only firm, which has increased the price of its models. The big daddies of the Indian car market, such as Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki and Toyota have also increased the price of their cars recently.
