Nissan Sunny exports from India to begin this March

It is after the immense success of Nissan Sunny in India that the Japanese car maker has decided to export the sedan and extend its presence further in prominent markets of the world starting this March. Nissan Sunny was launched in India in December 2011 after much hoopla over the name of the sedan in India. It was after its launch that people went crazy for it and there were promising sales and Nissan Sunny became a star performer for Nissan along with its hatch Nissan Micra.

As per reports, Nissan Sunny will be exported to Middle East from India as it is at a viable distance. Notably, Nissan has its production unit at Oragadam near Chennai that it has set up in 2005 with its ally Renault. The Rs 4,500 crore worth unit produces Nissan Micra and Nissan Sunny apart from assembling some other cars. With the addition of Nissan Sunny to the product line up in India, Nissan has market its fresh entry into the premium sedan market that has picked pace in 2011. Apart from this Nissan Micra is already doing well and its diesel model Nissan Micra XV and XV Premium are doing pretty well against the other offerings in the segment such as Maruti Swift and Hyundai i20.
