Nissan to online debut its New Star of India short film on March 1
Nissan is getting ready for some real action in India. It is known for its popular sedan Nissan Sunny and the hatch Nissan Micra and now it will be a short movie that will be talk of town soon. Lately Nissan India has thrown open a content ‘New Star of India in October 2011 following which it had invited application from Indian youth to a co start with Nissan’s brand ambassador and Rockstar hero Ranbir Kapoor. Recently the content was over and the ad film was shot in Hyderabad and will be aired on March 1. The movie has become world first Bollywood movie for which auditions have been made on Facebook.

As pre reports, over 2500 people had submitted their video showing off dancing skills on Nissan’s Facebook book as per the contest. Out of the total applications, based on people’s vote and later filtering by judges over 20 candidates were finalized. These candidates danced with Ranbir Kapoor in the film shot at Ramoji film city in Hyderabad recently. Reports also suggest that the short film shooting used many Nissan Micra cars and also over 600 other people participated as crew in the film.

Notably, with the rise in competition and in an effort to boost brand image and awareness in the country, the Japanese car maker has decided to further publicize its brand and the products. The famous Nissan Micra and Nissan Sunny ads are already there features on the small screen in India and this will be the first Bollywood movie to have auditions on the social networking site Facebook. The short film slated to be launched features Ranbir Kapoor along with the 20 co artists auditioned on Facebook and large number of Nissan Micra cars. The previews are available and the full movie will be aired online on coming March 1. So set a reminder to get the first glimpse of the Nissan movie.
