Porsche 911 Carrera GT 2013 India bound

Porsche is geared up to spawn 911 in a new avatar, the 2013 Porsche 911 is expected to come with a lot of cosmetic changes and is likely to be launched in India too. Since its launch in 1963, the car has received various face-lifts both on the exterior front and under the hood. The major changes had been made in the engine of the car with meagre changes on the overall look.

Amongst the awe-inspiring models of Porsche, Porsche 911 Carrera GT will be the first car to be offered to the Indian customers by Volkswagen. Volkswagen has already stepped into the domestic market and has managed to woo the Indian customers with its renderings, the German auto cos will now officially bring the Porsche brand in India. The 2013 model will don a completely new look from the inside as well as from the outside too. The company officials revealed that the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera GT will be equipped with almost 90% reworked components. This will relinquish a completely new look to the car, way too different from its conventional look that it had been donning ever since its launch in 1963.

The new components powering the car will enable the car to consume lesser fuel, around 16% lesser than the current version. The list of changes includes a lower roof, longer wheelbase and 56mm increase in the length. The aluminium steel body will help in enhancing the performance of the car; apart from this the car will come affixed with larger headlamps.

The 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera GT will be armed with a robust 3.5 liter boxer engine that pumps out a whopping 350 BHP of power and will be mated to a 7 speed manual transmission. 911 will be the first car to come with this transmission which is based on the Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK). The zippy luxury on wheels can zoom to a mark of three digit number in a meager 4.8 seconds.
