Porsche 911 new avatar by April
German car maker Porsche is soon to launch a new version of the Porsche 911 sports car. This will be in tune with super luxury carmaker’s plan to further its presence in India and thereby boost sales in the country. The new Porsche 911 is expected to be launched in April this year. There will be a slight change in the price of the new car and the existing Porsche 911 price in India starts at Rs 96 lakh for the 911 Carrera and goes up to Rs 2.12 crore for the Porsche 911 GTR3 RS 4.0 (ex-showroom New Delhi prices).

The luxury 2-door sports car was first launched in 1963 and is in its improved generation. It is available in 2-door coupe, cabriolet and Targa body styles. The Porsche 911 Carrera has a 350 hp engine under hood that takes it to 100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds just .3 seconds than a Ferrari car. It can take a top speed of 289 kmph.

In order to expand its reach in the country, the German car maker will also be expanding its dealer network in the country besides other promotional efforts. There are six Porsche dealers in India which are located in major cities of the country. It sells Porsche Boxter, Porsche Cayenne, Porsche Panamera, Porsche Cayman models apart from Porsche 911 models. Last year, Porsche reportedly sold 322 cars. Other players such as Lamborghini, Maserati, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Bugatti, Maybach and Ferrari have also pitched in their cars in India targeting the billionaires’ population in India.

Industry experts believe that the Indian super luxury car market is growing at a pace of 30-40 percent and thus targeting the segment even all the luxury car brands in India have laid a similar strategy of introducing new cars in India.
